Describing the natural history and zoonotic potential of wildlife viruses

What We Do

We study viruses of wildlife. We survey wildlife (mostly bats) around the world for novel
viruses and study the ecological and evolutionary drivers of spillover and disease
emergence. We focus on viruses with significance for human disease, including
coronaviruses, ebolaviruses, and paramyxoviruses.
